Jorge Ferrari Hardoy was born in Buenos Aires in 1914. He received his degree in architecture at the University of Buenos Aires in 1939. He had lived the previous year in Paris, where he worked with Le Corbusier in the development of the “Master Plan of Buenos Aires”. He is probably best known internationally for his BKF chair, designed in conjunction with Kurchan Juan and Antonio Bonet in 1939. Ferrari-Hardoy remained creator, architect and urban planner until his death.
