Le Corbusier (1887 – 1965), Charles-Edouard Jeanneret. Even though he made most of his in France, was born in Switzerland. He is considered one of the most important architects and designer of the twentieth century. He participated in the Paris Exposition of 1925, where he presented his modern furniture in Pavillion LÉspirt Nouveau along with Thonet. From 1926 he began to design furniture with Pierre Jeanneret, his brother and Charlotte Perriant. The first projects in Le Corbusier steel tube appeared in 1928 and were called by him of housing equipment.
